H. W. Carmichael

There was no business transacted in the County Court on Monday owing to the 
death of Mr. H. W. Carmichael, the father of Judge Carmichael, which occurred 
on the 16th inst.

Mr. H. W. Carmichael
The death of Mr. H. W. Carmichael, who has been in a bad health for several 
years past, occurred on Sunday last at his residence in Towaliga district.  He 
was one of the old land marks of Butts County, having been a citizen since his 
early manhood.  He was a true Christian gentleman, having been a member of the 
Presbyterian church for many years.  At the time of his death he was 75 years 
of age.  He leaves a widow and six children besides a large number of friends, 
to mourn his death.
