Middle Ga. Argus – week of November 3, 1883
Mrs. Martha Thaxton, an aged lady died at the family residence in Towaliga 
district on Saturday last.  She was the wife of Col. William Thaxton, and the 
mother of two sons, who are left to mourn her loss.
