Ellis, Mrs. Dr - Obit

This community was thrown into  a gloom of sadness on Wednesday morning by the 
announcement of the death of Mrs. Dr. Ellis which occurred at 9 o’clock, after 
two weeks illness.  Mrs. Ellis was one of the foremost ladies of this county 
whom none knew but to love.  She leaves a husband and five children besides a 
host of friends to mourn her death.  Her remains were interred in the city 
cemetery on Friday morning from her residence, Rev. M. H. Dillard, pastor of 
the M.E. church conducting the funeral.  The sympathies of this paper are 
extended to the bereaved ones.
