E. Childs’ ginnery at Jenkinsburg on Friday allowed his arm to come in contact with the gin saws. His right arm was terribly lacerated from his hand to his shoulder, and from loss of blood he died on Saturday. Drs. Bryans and Ellis were called in on Saturday morning, but it was too late to save his life. Be careful how you “monkey” with a cotton gin.
