Middle Ga. Argus – Week of January 27,1891
Mr. Bob Land

It becomes our sad duty to chronicle the death of Mr. Bob Land, which sad event 
occurred on Friday morning at 8 o’clock of pneumonia.  He was 35 years of age 
and leaves a wife and four small children to battle with the world.  His 
remains were laid away on Saturday in the cemetery after funeral services at 
the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Eatson, the pastor.  May the god of the 
wisdom and orphan temper the wind if these shorn lands is our prayer.
