Argus – Week of May 19, 1891 Henry Akin B. Weldon – A Tribute Of Respect It is our sad duty to chronicle in this issue of The Argus, the death of a dear friend, Henry Aikin B. Weldon, on 13th, ult. Just as the bright sun of the morning sent forth on the quiet village of Worthville the soul of H. A. B. Weldon, Jr., took it flight and soured far above the troubles and aches and pains that we mortals are heir to and burst into an army of angels in the shining courts of heaven and joined them in the song of redeeming love. H. A. B. Weldon, who was formerly known in our town as “BOY” Weldon lived here two years and he, through in a public position and met many people, succeeded in making friends of every one. He had not an enemy at Jenkinsburg. In point of moral turpitude “Boy” was the peer of the best in the country. Sober and industrious, a dutiful and obedient son and faithful brother. All of our town join me in sympathy to the bereaved family, and request them to trust the God who saved their “Boy” believing that all things work together for good to those who love God.
