Middle Ga. Argus – Week of February 2, 1882
Mrs. Bankston

Just after going to press last week we were pained to learn of the death of 
Mrs. Bankston, wife of our fellow citizen, Gus Bankston, which occurred last 
Thursday evening very suddenly.  We sympathize with our friend in his sore 
bereavement.  He has had a double misfortune of the kind, having lost two wives 
in two years.



Additional Comments:
note:   Gus was a nickname for Leonidas Augustus Bankston. Mrs. Bankston was 
Jennie V. Weaver, born 5-20-1862 – died 1-26-1882. Married February 20,1881
This was Leonidas Augustus Bankston second marriage, no children.
