He was a useful and consistent member of County Line church and had been for many years. Uncle Jack, as he was commonly called, had no enemies, in fact we guess he never had a quarrel in his life. He was one of the pioneers of our section and county. Never has he failed to meet every obligation upon him as citizen and Christian gentleman. His wife died a few years since and now he gladly follows her. He leaves many relatives to mourn his death and friends almost innumerable join them in mourning for him.
