James Arthur Thurston – Resolutions of Respect.

Again the dread messenger, Death, has alarmed our outer door, and another of 
the Sons of Light has been summoned into the presence of our Grand Master of 
the Universe, and our beloved Brother, James Arthur Thurston who was born 
November 20, 1882 and died June 6th, 1909, has been called to the Celestial 
Lodge above, where through his exemplary life and conduct and his firm faith 
and steadfast trust in the Supreme Architect of the Universe and our belief in 
the mercy of God, we hope, that his soul now blooms in eternal spring, and 
partakes of the joys which have been prepared for the righteous from the 
foundation of the world.

Brother Thurston affiliated with this lodge April 20, 1907.  He was a true 
friend and a good Mason.  He was ever ready to contribute to the needy, and 
had a kind word for everybody.

Therefore: be it resolved:
1.	that in his death we have lost a true and faithful member, and the 
community a good citizen.

2.	That we revere his memory and deplore his loss; and while we consign 
his body to the ground, we cherish his memory in our hearts and commend his 
spirit to the God who gave it.

3.	That we extend to his bereaved family our heartfelt sympathy and that 
a copy of these resolutions be sent them.

4.	That this resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Lodge and a 
page dedicated to his memory.
