This time its fatal aim was at the life of little Jeff Bryant Watson the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Watson, on October 30, 1908. Jeff had seen but eight summers but those years had grown to beautiful and loving childhood, which had closely entwined about the lives of the parents and loved ones. When the ties were broken it caused great sorrow and left the dark shadows in the home; but the parents do not sorrow as those who have no hope, for Jeff had learned to love the Savior, who said “Suffer little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven”. The parents miss the love and devotion of their dear boy, but while he cannot come back to them, they can go to him. We pray that his death may be a blessing to the family. Jeff was a member of the Jackson Baptist Sunday School. Here in his class he is missed by both teacher and pupils. We trust our Lord will import grace to the dereaved hearts and may the sad providence draw father, mo9ther and sister nearer the Lord.
