S. Woodward – Died Mr. Lucian S. Woodward, one of the prominent citizens of the county, died suddenly at his home two miles from Jackson, at 5 o’clock Wednesday morning. He was taken ill suddenly and fell to the floor and died without ever speaking a word. His death was due to rheumatism of the heart. Mr. Woodward was abut fifty years of age. He belonged tone of the most prominent families in the county. He is survived by his widow and several children. His sudden death came as a shock to a large circle of friends.. The funeral was held Thursday morning, the services being conducted by the Rev. James Bradley, pastor of the Jackson Presbyterian church. The interment was in the Jackson cemetery.
