These depositons were taken in Butts Co. August 8, 1850 by Henry Hendrick and 
James W. Swan. Jeese Gunn and George Thompson were deposed regarding the estate 
of John Williamson Jr. of Jackson Co. GA. His father, Rev. Soldier John Sr. had 
come to Butts Co. c.1826. His will(1831)had left land and slaves to grandson, 
Nathan C. Williamson, and the balance to his father(John Jr.).

These copies were found in the Georgia Supreme Court file-"Winney Williamson vs 
James B. Nabers et al"-October Term 1853, in the Georgia State Archives. It is 
a very good transcription of an original copy found in the Hargrett Library, at 
the University of Georgia, Athens GA.
