GA-just over a month after his father's death in Henry Co. He was the youngest son of James Bellah and Lavonia Catherine(Williamson)Knowles. Mildred Fletcher("Fletch")Ammons was born in Henry Co. May 1, 1875, the youngest child of Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth Jane(Bryans)Ammons. They couple married in Henry Co.-November 10, 1897. This portrait was probably made in the early 1900s(Chicago Portrait Co.?) from separate, earlier photos, which were likely made just after(or shortly before)their marriage date. "Uncle Jimmy" farmed, and ran a small store on Fincherville Road in Butts Co. The couple had two sons; James Ammons and Walter Olen Knowles.
