GA(c.1938). Oscar had inherited the land from his father's estate, and built this house about 1895. The couple had seven children, five of whom reached adulthood. O.B. farmed much of his life, but was appointed Justice of the Peace in February 1893. On the 1920 Butts Co. census, he was noted as Chief of Police in Jackson- then living on Oak Street, near the Jail. He later worked in Atlanta at the State Capitol, as a security guard(living on Oakland Ave.). The couple is buried in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Henry Co.
