This building will be 80 x 120 ft. with a seating capacity of 1,000. It is the intention now to have this structure ready for use by Jan. 1st so as to meet the demands of the spring term of 1901. Music rooms will also be added to the auditorium to meet the increasing patronage of that department. The citizens of Jackson are elated over the erection of this auditorium because it meets the demands for a place to hold the commencement exercises, which had to be called in every year on account of no place where the exercises could be held. Jackson is to be congratulated over her large auditorium, with such a building more interest will be taken in the upbuilding of the city public school’s than heretofore.
