TOMBSTONE OF WILLIAM H. WILSON, Sardis Baptist Church-Henry Co. Georgia

William H. Wilson was listed on the 1830 Butts Co. census with his father, 
Joseph Wilson(and probable mother). He must have married soon after arriving in 
Butts Co.(Frances A.-unknown-no record of marriage yet found). He was a large 
land and slave owner, and a prominent member of Sardis Baptist Church, being 
mentioned on numerous committees in early church minutes. A stone has recently 
been placed at the base of this stone noting his service in the Indian Wars.
