Additional Comments: He attended Savannah State College, and was drafted into the U. S. Army in the second semester of his senior year. He served two years in K-town Germany, and as a reservist back in the States. He was honorably discharged. He trained and served as a barber after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He worked for Siemen's Automated, International for 36 years. He retired in 1999, as a Warehouse Coordinator. He was married to his beloved, Martha Jean James McDaniel, for 42 years, until she went home to glory on September 5, 2009. Together they raised three daughters, and have one grandson. He became a member of Bold Springs CME Church, as a youth, and remained a member until his passing. He served as a chairman and devotion leader. He annually prepared his uncle Will Goodman's famous homemade lemonade for the church homecoming services.
