The wedding will be a smart afternoon nuptial event, solemnized at 4:30 o’clock, Rev. Dr. William Petts officiating. It will be a beautiful wedding, distinguished by its solemnity and freedom from pompest brother, Mr. S. M. Acree and attended by her sister, Mrs. W. A. Fairchild, as matron of honor, and Misses Margaret Bright and May O’Brien as bridesmaids. The groom will be attended by his brother, Mr. John L. Johnson, as best man, and by Messrs. E. C. Goodpasture, Nat Sins groomsmen; Preston Hoskins and William Harding. The dresses of the bride and her attendants will be calling gowns of the latest mode. While the news of these nuptials will be no surprise to the friends of the contracting parties, it will occasion a ripple of pleasurable anticipation to the world of society, and be one of the most interesting wedding events in this season’s nuptial history”. The above is taken from the Chattanooga Times. Prospective bride-groom is a brother of Prof. J. L. Johnson of Jackson Institute. Prof Johnson will leave on the 1st for Chattanooga to be present at the marriage.
