A correspondent at Griffin writes as follows concerning the event: An engagement of interest to many in Atlanta and throughout middle Georgia is that of Miss Tusie Caldwell, of Griffin, and Mr. Basecom Wilde Torrence, of Columbus. The marriage will occur in Atlanta t the home of Miss Caldwell’s brother-in-law, Mr. W. F. Manry, 74 East Mitchell street, on the morning of April 26th, at 11:30, and bridal couple will leave immediately for New York and an extended eastern tour. Miss Lucy May Manry will be maid of honor, and the bride will be given away by her brother, Mr. Cobb Caldwell. Miss Caldwell is one of those rare young women whom it is a privilege and a pleasure to know. Personally, she is especially attractive and shows in her strong and beautiful face a character at once admirable and distinctive. She is a charming and popular woman, and all Griffin is loth to give her up. Mr. Torrence is a successful business man and is held in the highest esteem in the insurance business that he so ably represents. Socially, he is especially engaging and is in every way worthy of the splendid woman he has won.
