Jackson Argus – Week of October 8, 1896
Thompson – Gibson

At the residence of the bride parents in Flovilla on Wednesday September 10th,
Prof Carle B. Thompson and Miss Mary Gibson were united in marriage.   The
contracting parties are well known in Butts County and they are born prominent
in social circles.

Prof. Thompson is principal of the public schools of Forsyth and is one of the
coming educators of the state.   His bride has many virtues that come from her
to a useful life.   The Argus extends to them I behalf of their numerous friends
a hope for along and useful career.
