Jackson Argus – Week of May 31, 1895
Stroud – Sims

At the residence of Mr. Lucian Brittain in this county, on last Sunday, Mr. W. 
J. Stroud, of Henry county, to Miss Mary Lou Sims.  Rev. J. T. Kimbell 
officiating.   A number of Mr. Stroud’s friends from Henry county accompanied 
him, and the infair dinner at his father’s house was a sumptuous affair.  On 
Monday the bride and groom returned to the elegant, typical ante-bellum, 
southern home of Mr. Brittain, where Mr. Kimbell, together with other friends, 
partook of a wedding dinner.
