Butts County Progress – Week of February 17, 1911
Strickland – Head

The marriage of Miss Kate Head and Mr. Roger Strickland of Concord took place
Tuesday afternoon at the home of the bride at High Falls.  The house was
prettily decorated in white and green and during the ceremony, which was
performed by Rev. Mr. Hansford, the bride and groom stood beneath a wedding bell
of white flowers and…

The maid of honor was Miss Nancy Head, sister of the bride and the best man, Mr.
Milner of Zubulon.   The other attendants were Miss Julia Ingram of Atlanta,
Miss Addie Auton of Griffin, Miss Sallie May Strickland of Concord, Miss Alice
Newton of Forsyth, Mr. Jim Head of High Falls, and John T. Stephens.  Following
the ceremony a lovely reception was held, after which Mr. and Mrs. Strickland
left for Forsyth and after a short wedding trip they return to their future home
in Concord.
