Jackson Argus – Week of December 31, 1895
Carmichael – Hale

On Wednesday January 15th, at the beautiful home of the bride Miss Lora Hale was
united in marriage to Mr. T. M. Carmichael.   Characteristic of the occasion the
decorations were in white and pale green embracing the effect of the
surroundings.  Holly and the delicate tracery of bines festooned the parlors. 
As the sweet strains of the wedding march pealed forth under the magic touch of
Miss Cook the bridal party entered.   Rev. C. G. Pharr of McDonough stepped
forward and in an impressive and eloquent manner pronounced the happy couple one
for time and eternity.  After a shower of congratulations the bridal party
repaired to the dining hall where an elegant luncheon was served.   The festal
board was arranged most artistically, and delicious viands were served.   The
lovely bride attired in a handsome gown made in a becoming style.   She is a
young lady of many charming attainments, a womanly woman who will reign queen in
the heart and home of the noble groom.  Mr. Carmichael is well and favorably
known as a young man of sterling integrity and a successful young farmer.  To
this young couple we join with many other loving friends in wishing them many
happy New Years of success and prosperity.   Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Carmichael left
for the home of the groom where an elegant reception was tendered them on
Wednesday evening.   Numerous remembrances attested the good will and best
wishes of their many friends.
