L. Johnson and Miss Sue Bell Moody, all have looked forward to this happy event with anxious expectations as both parties are of our most prominent families. Prof. Johnson is a Virginian by birth, a Mississippian by apprentice and a Georgian by adoption and by reason of his love for the old state which was shows in the choice of his bride. He is very sense of though the word cultured gentleman of sterling worth and is worth the precious jewel has be so fortunate to win. From the Echo, the home paper of the bride we have the following “The bride is one Oglethorpe’s fairest and most popular daughters gifted with a sweet sunny disposition possessed of all the lovable womanly traits of character she has drawn around her a large crowd of admirers. She is highly accomplished and in every way suited to grace any position in life to which her gifted and ambitious husband may aspire. He is certainly to be congratulated upon having won such a prize in the matrimonial lottery while she is to be equally congratulated upon having won a gentleman occupying and destined to occupy that high station in life which her beautiful face and character seems to have been destined to grace. We all join in congratulation to the happy couple and predict for them a happy future and prosperous voyage.
