Jackson Argus – Butts County, Week of October 29, 1897
McElheny – Moore

Cards are out announcing the marriage of Miss Lillie Moore, of this county, to 
Mr. McElheny, of Jasper county.

We are not personally acquainted with Mr. McElheny, but feel sure he is all 
right or he would never have been accepted by this beautiful and accomplished 
young lady.

Miss Moore is one of those perfect types of woman which makes the south famous 
for its lovely women.  She is not only highly educated, but possesses a will 
that knows no such thing as failure.

We heartily congratulate the groom upon the prize he has won, and sincerely 
hope he is worthy of such good fortune.  The marriage will be consummated at 
Jenkinsburg church, on November 9th, at 3:30 o’clock
