Smith – Mitchell

Capt. W. F. Smith and lady gave us a pleasant call yesterday.  We had to 
acknowledge the Captain had sold us out in not letting us know of his marriage, 
which took place on the 23rd of last month to Miss Mitchell of Jones County.  
Miss Mitchell is one of the first families of Jones County, and of course is 
one of the best and nicest of Jones county’s daughters.  As for Capt. Smith, we 
all know him to be worthy of the fairest and best.  May he and his lovely bride 
be as happy as we know they deserve to be.
