Argus – Week of March 1, 1883 Davis – Etheridge At the residence of the bride’s mother, Mrs. S. G. Etheridge, in this place on last Wednesday evening, Mr. J. D. Davis, of Glen Julia, Fla., to Miss Fannie C. Etheridge. Rev. Dr. E. W. Warren, of Macon, Ga., officiating. The nuptials were attended by on a few of the intimate friends and relatives of the bride and groom. Immediately after the ceremony the guests were invited to the table where they enjoyed the many rich edibles prepared for the occasion. After receiving and congratulations of their friends and relatives, they repaired to the depot, where many fond good-byes were extended as they boarded the train for Glen Julia, their future home. Mr. Davis is one of the rising young men of his State, being a highly educated gentleman in every sense of the word, and Miss Etheridge was one of the most beautiful and accomplished young ladies of Jackson.
