Harris, of Oliver Ga., and Miss Gussie Pound were joined in the holy bans of wedlock in the Baptist church at Indian Springs by Dr. Thomas H. Timmons, of Jackson. The church was beautiful decorated with evergreen’s and flowers and precisely at the appointed hour the happy couple entered, preceded by their attendants and slowly took a position under the beautifully woven arch, as the accomplished Mrs. G. B. Elder played a wedding march. The ceremony, through short, was beautiful and impressive. As the twain stood before the altar to take the life-binding obligations, the scene presented was beautiful and lovely. After the ceremony the bridal pair and a number of friends returned to the residence of the bride’s parents, and were invited into the dining hall where they partook of a most sumptuous repast. The table was literally laden with rich viands too numerous to mention. Suffice to say the editor of the Argus was on hand an did his part. The groom is one of east Georgia’s most prosperous young merchants, and the bride is one of the fairest and loveliest of Indian Springs accomplished daughters. The following is a list of the bridal presents: Mrs. H. J. Lamar, Macon, silver nut stand; Col. H.J.
