Middle Ga Argus
Washington –Thaxton

At the residence of the bride’s parents in this county on Thursday evening the 
24 (?) November.  Squire H. L. Brown officiating, Mr. John Washington to Miss 
Roxie, daughter of Mr. Wesley Thaxton.  After the ceremony the guest – quite a 
large crowd of the elite of that community – were invited to partake of a 
bountiful repast prepared for the occasion.  The evening was spent in the 
enjoyment of social games, plays, etc.  Our best wishes are extended to the 
happy pair.
