Millin - Thornton

On Thursday of last week Mr. A. C. Millin cheated us out of a local for our 
last issue by dodging off to get married, in just about the same business like 
manner that he would have went about exchanging a guano note for a ale of 
cotton, but we admire his “pluck” in departing from he custom of giving an 
expensive and unnecessary wedding festival.  Mr. Millin is one of our rising 
young men and Miss Roxie Thornton the bride is a most charming and accomplished 
young lady, and e congratulate them both in the selection they have made.  May 
life’s choicest blessings attend them through life’s journey.
