Jackson Argus – Week of August 13, 1896
Lyons – Peavy

Last Thursday morning there was a surprise in town which it was announced that
Mr. Bob Lyons and Miss Myrtice Peavy had been married; nevertheless the surprise
brought forth many congratulations from their numerous friends.  Mr. Lyon is a
successful young traveling salesman while his bride is one of Jackson’s noblest
young women.

They enter upon a new life full of hope and promise; our wish for them is that
they have all the happiness they anticipate.
