D. Brewster, Esq., in Africa district, at three o’clock Sunday afternoon, Miss Ada Pen, of this place and Joseph Westmoreland, of Africa district, were quietly married in the presence of a few friends and relatives, Judge Brewster officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. M. J. Penn, and is endowed with many superior domestic virtues that qualify her for the wifely position. While the groom is a young farmer, a son of J. C. Westmoreland, of this county, and eminently fitted for life’s battle, with manly energy and pluck. The marriage was not a runaway, the young couple selecting this method through choice as there was not parental objection.
