J. C. Mays to be united in the bonds of matrimony. The marriage ceremony having been performed, the bride and groom accompanied by a host of friends, attended services at Enon church, after which they returned to a splendid feast where all ate, drank and were merry. The bride is one of Jasper’s fairest young ladies, happily endowed with those noble traits that constitute the true womanhood; while the groom is an energetic, business young man. The attendants were as follows: Mr. J. A. Spear with Miss Annie Smith; Mr. J. M. Barnett with Miss Susie Harden; Mr. Gus Goodman with Miss Carrie Phillips and Mr. Alonzo Goodman with Miss Leah Spear. May they live a long happy and useful life, unclouded with the shades of sorrow and misfortune? Flovilla and Indian Spring Enterprise – Butts County Ga.
