Guyton and Miss Lillie Otelia Upchurch, two well-known young people of McDonough, were secretly married in Jackson on Sunday April 8th, having run away from home for fear of parental objection to the marriage on account of their youth. They returned to their respective homes at McDonough and kept well their secret until yesterday, when they surprised their many friends by telling of the marriage. The bride is the lovely daughter of T. J. Upchurch, a well known merchant while the groom is an excellent young man and comes of a fine family.
