I-therefore make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills made and published by me. Item Ist I resign my soul to God who gave it trusting in his goodness for my eternal welfare and after the payment of my just debts, I wish my property to be disposed of as follows. Item 2nd I will and direct that my wife Levisa (Louisa?) Collins shall have one hundred acres of Land the same being the land on which I am now living in Butts County bounded North by R.M. Fletcher East by James A. Collins West and South by the remaining portion of my lands, the same being in lieu of Dower and all interests in my estate not hereinafter mentioned. The said Levisa is to have said lands in fee simple with the full right of Levisa to sell or dispose of in any manner she may desire. I also give to Levisa my horse and bugy (sic). I hereby revoke the gift made to said Levisa May 7th 1867. But the marriage contract made 4th Feby (sic) 1867 is to remain in full force. Item 3rd I will and bequeath to my son J. R. Collins the following property to wit: Seventy acres of land more or less the same being part of lot No. ~ bounded east by lands of J. A. Collins. South by lands of Mrs. SarahCollins, West by Lowelyn River, North by the lands I am now living on Willed to Levisa Collins. I also will and give to said J. R. Collins Thirty acres of land lying adjoining the lands above described and in as much as there may not be Seventy acres of land first described lands in this Item I direct that the said lands shall be measured and the hundred acres I desire to give to said J. R. Collins shall be made up by giving him enough of the adjoining lands to make up said one hundred acres The same being No. 62. The said land is to be measured off of said land No. 62 on the side adjoining the land mentioned in lot No. 61. The said J.R. Collins is to have the right through his trustee or Guardian to sell or dispose of said lands as he may desire. I also give to said J. R. Collins all of my household and kitchen furniture not belonging to my wife and all my personal property not before disposed of. I hereby revoke a deed made by me to A. Bankston Trustee of J. R. Collins, dated August 29th 1866 and make the foregoing in lieu of said gift. Item 4th I will and direct that all of the remaining lands of which I am possessed shall be sold and the proceeds of said sale to be divided between the children of my daughter Mahala Collins who have not before been provided for by me, share and share alike. Item 5th I will and direct that my children lrbin Collins, J.A. Collins, J.B.Collins, Samuel Collins, Fannie Blisset, Sarah Jackson, Jane Johnson shall not be disturbed in any property I have given them but hereby confirm said gifts the same being in lieu of any interest in my present Estate. Item 6th I Appoint M.V. McKibben as executor of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said Samuel Collins to this my will consisting of the foregoing four pages of paper have set my hand and seal this May 21st 1878. his Samuel X Collins mark Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Samuel Collins as his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto. This May 1st (sic)1878 R. M. Fletcher Robt. A. Woodward , Robert.J. Woodward Georgia Butts County Butts Court of Ordinary Jay(sic) 24th 2879 in chambers In person appeared before me P. N. Compton Ordinary in and for said county Richard M. Fletcher one of the subscribing witnesses to the will of Samuel Collins late of said County deceased who being duly sworn deposes and says that the said Samuel Collins signed sealed published and declared the attached paper hereto as his last Will and Testament which said will bears date the 21st May in the year eighteen hundred and Seventy Eight that deposed (/) and Robt. A. Woodward and Robt. J. Woodward subscribed the same as witnesses that the said Samuel Collins the testator subscribed the same as his last will and testament in the presence of said witnesses and that they the said witnesses subscribed the same in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other and at his special instance and request of said testator and that said testator signed the same freely and voluntarily and of his own accord, without coercion or any undue influence exerted over him for that purpose. Sworn to and subscribed before Me this 24th day Jay 1879. R. N. Fletcher P. M. Compton Ordinary Butts Court of Ordinary – Feb Term 1879 The last will and testament of Samuel Collins late of said County deceased having been probated and proved by the testimony of R. M. Fletcher one of the subscribing witnesses thereto it is ordered that the same be admitted to record. And it is ordered by the court that letters testamentary do issue to M. V. McKibben the executor therein named and that a warrant of appointment do issue accordingly. P. M.
