Bankston of the County and State aforesaid duly constitutes administration of the Estate of Jane Bankston, late of said County deceased of the one part and Harrel N. Byars and W. M. Mallet of the same place of the other part witnesith that whereas by virtue of an order granted by the Ordinary previous notice of application having been given in the Echo, a paper publication at the Indian Springs, according to law in such cases made and provided on the first Monday in June last to said W. R. Bankston, administrator as aforesaid to sell a Town lot in the Town of Jackson in said County belonging to the estate of said deceased and after the said lot was duly advertised in conformity to the law the same was put up and exposed to sale to the highest and best bidder at the door of the Court House in Jackson in said County within the legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday in August (Instant) by said W. R. Bankston administrator as aforesaid when said Town lot was knocked off to said Harrel N. Byers and W. M. Mallet at the price and sum of sixty five dollars cash in hand paid to the said W. R. Bankston administrator as aforesaid by them the said Harrel N Byars and W. M. Mallet as and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge paid W. R. Bankston administrator as aforesaid hath granted, bargained and sold and by these doth grant bargain and sell (so far as the office of administrator authorizes him) unto the said Byars and Mallet therein heirs and assigns a certain lot in the town of Jackson Butts County number not recollected buy known as the lot whereon Benjamine Deason formerly lived bounded North by W. F. Swan South by a street running east and west. Easy by a lot owned by Richard G. Byers, and west by a street running north and south and containing one half of an acre more or less with all the rights numbers and appurtenances thereto belonging or in anyway appertaining to them the said Byars and Mallet their heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the said W. R. Bankston administrator as aforesaid hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
