**NOTE:  This is extremely difficult to read and thus an entire transcription 
is not possible.  Below are the parts I can read only.  Any areas with a line 
are illegible:

I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Rebeckah my ________ of land on which I 
now Live number one hundred and eighty eight and one hundred and eighty nine 
also number one hundred and sixty six and one hundred fifty five in the eighth 
district of originally Henry County now Butts county for and during her 
natural life only.  Also all my farming tools together with all of my stock 
consisting mules horses hogs cows and sheap also all my house & kitchen 
furniture to have and to hold during her natural life for her one __________ & 
benefit one also for the _________ benefit of all my minor children to assist 
in raising during her natural life only.
4th  At the death of my wife Rebeckah I will and bequeath direct that all of 
my land all of my property both real & personal be sold equally divided to 
each and all my children so as to make each one all equal with ________ (rest 
of sentence is illegible).
______ I appoint my son R.R. Maddux and _______________ (a lot is illegible) 
October 8th 1871.
