Butts County) In the name of God Amen.
I Dennis Maddux being of sound mind and disposing memory but ______ and ______ 
in bodily health and strength do make the following as my last will and 
testament.  That is to say
Item First:  I will all of my just debt s shall be paid by my executor herein 
named.
Item Second:  I will and bequeath that all of the property I have of every 
kind and character together real or personal estate shall go to my wife and 
children now born and to be born and to be kept together without distribution 
to be worked for there benefit  for and during there life time of My wife and 
in the event My wife should marry after my death then I desire her to take a 
child part of my estate and the remainder to be divided equally divided among 
my children or representatives of children.
Item Third:  I hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend Thomas J. Giles 
my executor to _____ (illegible) my last will and testament hereby revoking 
all others made by me heretofore.  In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my 
hand & affixed my seal this 27th day of March 1860.
