Item 1st-----I give all the property that I may own at my death bot real and personal, to my wife, Mary A. Watkins, for and during her life or widowhood, at her death or marriage I give all my said property to my children who are then living and to the children of such of my children as are now dead or who may be dead at her death; the grandchildren to take the parts their parents would have taken if a live at her death. Item 2--- the parts above given to my children, they are to have for and during their lives and at their deaths to go to their children Item 3rd--- the above gift to my wife is to be in lieu of dower and a year's support, and if she takes dower and a years support out of my property she is to have nothing but said dower and year's support. Item 4th If any of my children should die and leave no children then I give the part given to him to be equally divided between my children and grandchildren who survive him or her, the grandchildren to take the part their parent would have taken if alive. I will that my executors bury my body and the body of my wife in the burying ground where my children Andrew J. and Harold are buried and to appropriate the sum of five hundred dollars in _______over our graves and the grave of my first wife I appoint my son, Joel Watkins, and my son-in-law, Samuel Hale, executors of this will A.McWatkins, Senior Signed and published as his last will and testament in our presence by Alfred McWatkins who signed the same as subscribing witnessed in his presence and in the presence of each other, this March 7, 1888 A.G.
