Sexton Clk (Explanation by Dottie Smith: These people lived in Camden County GA and descended from Elihu Atwater and Col. William Scott of Camden. Alfred Doolittle, born 1797 in Vermont, was a nephew of Elihu Atwater as well as having married, July 22, 1824 Mary (Scott) Atwater's sister Martha Rebecca Scott, daughters of Col. William Scott. Martha Rebecca Scott and Alfred Doolittle had descendants as a Mr. Lloyd D. Knapp of Milwaukee, WI wrote in 1971 that Alfred Doolittle was his GrGrandfather.
