All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Tara Fields For more information see: http://www.camdencounty.org These letters are at the Bryan-Lang Library along with transcribed copies by Tara Fields. 7/20/1790 Document Number ___ Frederica Island St. Simons 20th July 1790 Sir, In order to carry into effect the order of His Excellency the Govenor (sic), of the 3th (sic) March last, respecting "the dividing line as heretofore marked out &c &c," I called on the Surveyor of Camden, from whom I got no satisfactory answer, - so far as it concerns myself, I would wish to be informed whether you have any records respecting the Indian line, also the dividing line between the two Counties, whether the general course of Little Satillias (sic) river, or a due west course from that to the Indian line is, or should be the dividing line of the Counties of Glynn & Camden, all this is necessary for me, - and further, whome (sic), where, when, and which way I am to be reimbursed, for all this toil & expense it cannot be done for a Baubee (sic). I shall transmit, you in a few days a re-survey of the Town & Common of Frederica, together with other public land agreeable to orders. With respect & esteem I am Sir Your Humble Servt. (Servant) E. Ordered, That the Secretary of the State of prepare Commissions bearing date this 14th December for the officers that are not commissioned agreeably to the foregoing arrangement.
