A native of Chatham County, she had been a resident of Camden County for the past 70 years. She was retired from the Gilman Paper Co. Mrs. Atkinson was a member of Kingsland First United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kingsland First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jay Hughes and Dan Mobley Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Atkinson, Christopher Atkinson, Josh Williams, Burt Wright, Terry Stover, Jim Greer, Greg Gearnow, Charles Scruggs, Meredith Hill, Chris Hill, Alexander Fox, Travis Scruggs, Ben Greer, Joseph Stover, Logan Stover and Doug Stein. Survivors include a daughter, Cecily Hill of St. Marys; two sons, Maurice Lynwood Atkinson and Richard O'Neal Atkinson, both of Tucker; a brother, Jack W.
