Barnes, 69, of Kingsland died Sunday at her residence. A 20 year resident of Kingsland, Mrs. Barnes was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kingsland and a member of the Kingsland Women's club. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Dillingham officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carlos Jones, Ray Wilson, Fred Sutton Gerald Crummey, Dale Williams and Terry Brown. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Edo Miller Camden Chapel. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Barnes of Kingsland; a daughter, Tonya Johnson of Hilliard, Fla.; three sons, Tracy Norton of Greensboro, N.C., Tim Norton of Kingsland and Todd Barnes of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Louise Brooks of Pelham and Pearl Hubbard of New Port, N.C.; a brother, C.E. Barnes was born to the late Sailor Walker and Leila Mae Willis on June 15, 1934 in Pelham. She had been a resident of Kingsland for the past 20 years after living in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Barnes was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kingsland and a member of the Kingsland Women's Club. Survivors include her husband of 32 yeas, Raymond "Ray" Barnes of Kingsland; a daughter, Tonya (Mark) Johnson of Hilliard, Fla.; three sons, Tracy Norton and wife Kathryn of Greensboro, N.C., Tim Norton and wife Renee of Kingsland and Todd Barnes and wife Rae of Ft. Lauderdale; two sisters, Louise Brooks of Pelham and Pearl Hubbard of New Port, N.C.; a brother, C.E. "Bill" Willis of Pelham; and eight grandchildren. Edo Miller Camden Chapel of Kingsland was the funeral home in charge of arrangements. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 1 at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2 at the First Baptist Church in Kingsland, with Rev. Vernon Dillingham officiating. Interment followed in Lawnwood Cemetery.
