Alex Chaney Date April 10, 2001 A graveside service for Alex Chaney of Woodbine was to have been held at 3 p.m. today at the Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine with the Revs. Eddie Rawl and Jimmie Cone officiating. Mr. Chaney, 95, died Saturday at the St. Marys Convalescent Center. Surviving are one step-daughter, Nell Waldron of Woodbine; one half-brother, Joe B. Chaney of Woodbine; three half-sisters, Gladys Browning of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Delorse Langley of Tallahassee, Fla., and Sarah Crownoner of Florida; three grandsons, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and other relatives. Mr. Chaney was a member of the Woodbine United Methodist Church and was formerly a deputy with the Camden County Sheriff's Department. Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston is in charge of arrangements.
