He was a native of Johnson County, Ga. and had lived in St. Marys for 34 yeras. He was a retired crane operator for Gilman Paper Company. Survivors include his wife, Ophelia R. Foskey of St. Marys; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Duffy and Mrs. Louise Green of St. Marys, and Mrs. Paulette Johnson of Yulee; five sons, Robert Marr, Tommy Marr, James Foskey, John Foskey, and Jack Foskey, all of St. Marys; and one sister, Mrs. Nettie Drew of Dublin; two half sisters, Mrs. Elvie Gillis and Mrs. Mary Lou Powell, both of Soperton, Ga.; two half brothers, Verlie Foskey of Soperton and Melvin Foskey of Macon, Ga.; twelve grandchildren and four step grandchildren. Funeral services were held on April 30 at Westside Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Saxon officiating. Interment was in Marr Cemetery. Adkins Funeral Home of Folkston was in charge of arrangements.
