Bowen was a native of Camden County. She had resided in Pierce County most of her life. She was a retired seamstress. Bowen was a member of Burnt Fort Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Charles Howell of Browntown; three daughters, Betty Chehab of Tampa, Fla., Barbara Howell of Corta Madera, Calif., and Marian Sikes of White Oak; seven grandchildren, Timmy Howell, John Howell, Judy Carter, Penny Youmans, Ali Chehab, Ibrahim Chehab and Elijah Snethlage; and one great-grandchild, Tommy Youmans. He was born on March 30, 1971, in Savannah, but has been a lifelong resident of St. Marys. He attended Camden County schools and was a 1989 graduate of Camden County High. Allen was employed with Gilman Paper Co. and Durango-Georgia Paper Co. for 13 years until it closed. He was working with Edo Miller Camden Chapel as an apprentice funeral director and embalmer while going to mortuary school. He attended the Lighthouse Church of God. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Shanda Allen of St. Marys; a son, Christian James "C.J." Allen of St. Marys; his parents, Harry and Sue Allen of St. Marys; two brothers, Eric Allen and wife Marla of Woodbine and Steve Allen and wife Elaine of St. Marys. Frazier was married to the late Deacon James Frazier Sr., who preceded her in death. Two children also preceded Frazier in death, James Frazier Jr. and Rena Mae Frazier, and also one sister, Rosa Lee Albertie. Survivors include three daughters, Mary C. Frazier, Christine V. Frazier and Zonnie M. Henry; six sons, Arnold D. Frazier, Timothy T. (Jennis) Frazier, Simon N. Frazier, Christopher V. (Delbra) Frazier, Allen D. Frazier and Vincent T. (Frances) Frazier; sisters, Mamie (Paul) Jacobs, Wilma Frazier and Juanita (Edgar) Bennett; brother, Larry Jacobs; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Wright, 13, of Kingsland died on Monday, Jan. 26, 2004 at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla. Wright was an eighth-grader at Camden Middle School, where she was a second seat flutist in the band. She was also a member of the Sign Language Club. She had always longed to become a surgeon so she could help others feel better. Wright was a member of Bethlehem Church of God Holiness in Greenwood, S.C. Survivors include her parents, Paul and Bettye Wright of Kingsland; one sister, Catryna Wright; maternal grandmother, Bertha Outzs of Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Naomi Wright and James Edwards of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cully was born on July 1, 1919, in Camden County. He retired from Gilman Paper Co. after 34 years of service as a boiler operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodbine. He had two tours of duty in Europe while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Lillian Gray McKendree, and by his parents, James Thomas and Betsy Allen McKendree. Survivors include two sons, Mike and wife Geraldine McKendree of Kingsland, and Chuck McKendree of Woodbine; a sister, Hilda Boone of Kingsland; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A native of Crandall, Fla., Mr. Davis attended Kingsland Elementary/High School and graduated from Riverside Military Academy in 1934. He also attended the University of Georgia and, with his son, established "The Bulldog House" on the St. Marys River in 1976. He was a past president of the Jacksonville Bulldog Club and a member of the University of Georgia Presidents Club. He joined the U.S. Army in 1942 and served in North Africa and Italy during World War II. Mr. Davis was a 50-year-plus member of the American Legion, Camden Post No. 170. Early in his business career, Mr. Davis was the owner and editor of the Fernandina News. Following his discharge from the Army, he edited and owned the Southeast Georgian until selling it in 1976. Mr. Davis was a founding member of the Citizens State Bank and a director for more than 40 years. He and his son founded Davis and Son Enterprises. Mr. Davis was a past president of the Fernandina Rotary Club and founding member of the Kingsland Lions Club. He was the recipient of many awards and honors for his community service. In 1945, Mr. Davis became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kingsland, where he served in numerous ministries and offices and sang with the Chancel Choir for more than 50 years. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Knight Davis. The funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church of Kingsland with the Revs. Jay Hughes and Don Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnwood Cemetery. Davis was born to the late Howard Hall and Beulah Mizell Davis Sr. on Sept. 4, 1915 in Crandall, Fla. He attended first and second grades in Folkston and then the family moved to Kingsland where he entered the third grade at Kingsland Elementary/High School in 1924. In 1926, Davis joined the Kingsland Episcopal Methodist Church, South which is now Kingsland First United Methodist Church. He attended Riverside Military Academy, graduating in 1934. He also attended the University of Georgia from 1935 to 1936 and was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity. Davis was the owner and editor of the Fernandina News for four years and promoted high-school countywide sports. He was a member of the Fernandina Chamber of Commerce. During this time he transferred his church membership to Memorial Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir for two years and served two years as a steward. Davis was president of the Fernandina Rotary Club at the time he entered the United States Army in 1942. He volunteered into the 978th Ordnance Depot Company of the 402 Ordnance Regiment. He served two and a half years in North Africa and Italy. He left the service in 1945 and returned to Kingsland where he became active in the Methodist Church. Over the years he held numerous church offices and served on many boards, including treasurer, steward, trustee and historian. He compiled the 1996 "100 Year History of the Kingsland Methodist Church," served in the chancel choir for over 50 years and served on a number of building and planning boards. He received a plaque for 50 years of service to the chancel choir in November 1995. After his military service he ventured into several businesses before taking over as editor of The Southeast Georgian, a weekly newspaper formerly owned by his step-father. He later owned and edited the paper until selling it in January 1976. He and his son created Davis and Son Enterprises. Davis was a founding member of the Citizens State Bank, a director for over 40 years and president emeritus. He was a charter member of the Kingsland Lions Club, past president, secretary and treasurer and received many awards. He recently completed a 50- year history of the club. In 1975 he received the District 18-B Distinguished Service Award, District 18-B Governors "Certificate of Appreciation" award and 2001 Kingsland Lions Club "Certificate of Appreciation." In 2001 he received the "48 Years of Service" plaque, in 2003 the "50 Years of Service" and the District 18-B "50 Years of Service and Perfect Attendance" and in 2003 he became a member of the Melvin Jones Fellowship in Lions International by the Kingsland Lions Club. Through the years there were many other certificates of appreciation for service and faithfulness. Davis was also a 50-year-plus member of the American Legion Camden Post 170 where he received numerous honors. In 1976, Davis and his son established "The Bulldog House" on the St. Marys River. Over the years they filled the home with approximately 6,000 Georgia Bulldog and university items until it became a showplace. He joined the Jacksonville Bulldog Club in 1972 and has served as past president and had stayed on the board of directors. He is a member of the University of Georgia President's Club and has been honored numerous times by both the Bulldog Club and the University of Georgia. Davis is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen Knight Davis. Survivors include his son, Howard H. Davis III and wife, Sharon, of Kingsland; four grandchildren, Howard H. Davis IV and wife, Dara, of Kingsland, Lisa Wright and husband, Don, of Enid, Okla., Darin Workman and wife, Tania, of King George, Va., and Travis Workman of Frankfort, Germany; and six great-grandchildren. He was the son of the late J.C. Outlaw Sr. and Minnie Peterson Outlaw. Outlaw was a member of McRae United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Outlaw was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, National Foxhunter's Association, Georgia State Foxhunter's Association where he also was a past director, and a Hall of Fame member of the South Georgia Foxhunter's Association. He was co-owner and manager of Beaches Memorial Gardens of Jacksonville, Fla. Outlaw was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Harbin Outlaw. A native of Camden County, Mr. Trey was a millwright and member of the U.A. Local in New Orleans, La., where he had lived for 10 years before moving back to St. Marys. He was a member of the 1952 Camden County Hurricanes Football Team and a graduate of Camden County High School in Woodbine in 1956. She furthered her education by attending South Georgia College and Valdosta State College. She received her Associate Degree from SGC and her Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Science Degree from VSC. On June 9, 1974, she married Otis Moore and to this union one child was born, Stephen Christopher Moore. Hannah worked briefly before marriage but most of her life she was a housewife. She founded Hesed Ministries ( a small church support ministry) with her husband. Hannah and her husband were working with and attending the C.K. Smith Presbyterian Church in Albany, Georgia. A native of Crandall, Fla., Mr. Davis attended Kingsland Elementary/High School and graduated from Riverside Military Academy in 1934. He also attended the University of Georgia and, with his son, established "The Bulldog House" on the St. Marys River in 1976. He was a past president of the Jacksonville Bulldog Club and a member of the University of Georgia Presidents Club. He joined the U.S. Army in 1942 and served in North Africa and Italy during World War II. Mr. Davis was a 50-year-plus member of the American Legion, Camden Post No. 170. Early in his business career, Mr. Davis was the owner and editor of the Fernandina News. Following his discharge from the Army, he edited and owned the Southeast Georgian until selling it in 1976. Mr. Davis was a founding member of the Citizens State Bank and a director for more than 40 years. He and his son founded Davis and Son Enterprises. Mr. Davis was a past president of the Fernandina Rotary Club and founding member of the Kingsland Lions Club. He was the recipient of many awards and honors for his community service. In 1945, Mr. Davis became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kingsland, where he served in numerous ministries and offices and sang with the Chancel Choir for more than 50 years. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Knight Davis. Davis was born to the late Howard Hall and Beulah Mizell Davis Sr. on Sept. 4, 1915 in Crandall, Fla. He attended first and second grades in Folkston and then the family moved to Kingsland where he entered the third grade at Kingsland Elementary/High School in 1924. In 1926, Davis joined the Kingsland Episcopal Methodist Church, South which is now Kingsland First United Methodist Church. He attended Riverside Military Academy, graduating in 1934. He also attended the University of Georgia from 1935 to 1936 and was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity. Davis was the owner and editor of the Fernandina News for four years and promoted high-school countywide sports. He was a member of the Fernandina Chamber of Commerce. During this time he transferred his church membership to Memorial Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir for two years and served two years as a steward. Davis was president of the Fernandina Rotary Club at the time he entered the United States Army in 1942. He volunteered into the 978th Ordnance Depot Company of the 402 Ordnance Regiment. He served two and a half years in North Africa and Italy. He left the service in 1945 and returned to Kingsland where he became active in the Methodist Church. Over the years he held numerous church offices and served on many boards, including treasurer, steward, trustee and historian. He compiled the 1996 "100 Year History of the Kingsland Methodist Church," served in the chancel choir for over 50 years and served on a number of building and planning boards. He received a plaque for 50 years of service to the chancel choir in November 1995. After his military service he ventured into several businesses before taking over as editor of The Southeast Georgian, a weekly newspaper formerly owned by his step-father. He later owned and edited the paper until selling it in January 1976. He and his son created Davis and Son Enterprises. Davis was a founding member of the Citizens State Bank, a director for over 40 years and president emeritus. He was a charter member of the Kingsland Lions Club, past president, secretary and treasurer and received many awards. He recently completed a 50- year history of the club. In 1975 he received the District 18-B Distinguished Service Award, District 18-B Governors "Certificate of Appreciation" award and 2001 Kingsland Lions Club "Certificate of Appreciation." In 2001 he received the "48 Years of Service" plaque, in 2003 the "50 Years of Service" and the District 18-B "50 Years of Service and Perfect Attendance" and in 2003 he became a member of the Melvin Jones Fellowship in Lions International by the Kingsland Lions Club. Through the years there were many other certificates of appreciation for service and faithfulness. Davis was also a 50-year-plus member of the American Legion Camden Post 170 where he received numerous honors. In 1976, Davis and his son established "The Bulldog House" on the St. Marys River. Over the years they filled the home with approximately 6,000 Georgia Bulldog and university items until it became a showplace. He joined the Jacksonville Bulldog Club in 1972 and has served as past president and had stayed on the board of directors. He is a member of the University of Georgia President's Club and has been honored numerous times by both the Bulldog Club and the University of Georgia. Davis is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen Knight Davis. Survivors include his son, Howard H. Davis III and wife, Sharon, of Kingsland; four grandchildren, Howard H.
