All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: James Bruce jedbruce@hotmail.com March 9, 2011, 9:17 pm Southeast Georgian Thursday November 4, 1937 Isaac Ward Lang Dies After Short Illness Postmaster at Waverly For a Number of Years Isaac Ward Lang, 39, postmaster for years at Waverly in this county, and a member of one of Camden’s oldest and best known families, died at a Brunswick Hospital early yesterday morning {November 3rd , 1937} His death came as a great shock to his many friends in this section. Mr. Lang was stricken last week, and his condition became critical when pneumonia developed. He was carried to the hospital for treatment on Sunday. And it was announced at that time that chances for his recovery were against him. Mr. Lang had resided in Camden county all of his life. Besides being postmaster he was engaged in business at Waverly and he was unusually popular throughout the county. He is Survived by his wife Myra Lang, four children Virginia, Isaac, Jr., Margaret and Juilan; two sisters Mrs., E. H. Rhodes, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. John Cole, Woodbine, and two brothers R. M. Lang, Atlanta, and Julian Lang Omega. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Rev. C. T. Lawhorne, pastor of the Waverly Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Homeland (Homeward) Cemetery near Waverly.
