Agnes Simpson McArthur, 84, of Kingsland died Saturday at the Camden Medical Center. The funeral service was to have been held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Marys United Methodist Church with the Revs. Wayne Moseley and Quentin McArthur III officiating. Burial was to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Masons and members of the Eastern Star. Surviving are two sons, Quentin McArthur Jr. and William H. McArthur, both of Kingsland; a daughter Marvarie McArthur of St. Marys; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. A native and lifelong resident of Camden County, Mrs. McArthur was retired from Gilman Paper Co.-Kraft Bag. She was a nurse for 60 years assisting many physicians in the Camden County area with home visits early in her career. Mrs. McArthur was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Santa Maria Chapter 496 the Amaranth and White Shrine. She was a member of TOPS, the Senior Citizen Center in St. Marys and the St. Marys Women's Club. Mrs. McArthur was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church.
