Bernice Quarterman  
Date January 31, 2001 

Bernice Lewis Quarterman, 83, of Harrietts Bluff died
Tuesday at home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at
Homeward Cemetery with the Revs. Jimmie Cone, Jack
McCollough and Eddie Rawls officiating.

Pallbearers are members of the Woodbine United
Methodist Women; Drs. Robert Wilson, Willis Keene, Neal
Boswell, James Gowen, and C. Mac Johnson; staff of the
Hospice of Southeast Georgia, Gloria Barksdale,
Michelle Reiling, Juanita Brooks, Glen Miller, Gary
Thigpen, Adam Buchanan and Carson Allen.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodbine
United Methodist Church, the Hospice of Southeast
Georgia, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Surviving are one daughter, Katherine Nisi Zell of
Harrietts Bluff; one brother, Irvin Lewis of White Oak;
one sister, Georgia McKendree of Waycross; and several
nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Quarterman was a native and life-long resident of
Camden County. She had been employed as a City Clerk of
Woodbine and the bookkeeper for Rawls Pecan Company.
She was a member of the Woodbine United Methodist
Church. 

Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
