Mrs. Mary E Wainwright Wells Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wainwright Wells, 82 died Wednesday, Dec28, 1983 in Wayne Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. The Wayne County native was a member of the Jesup Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Wells is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Rose Mary Rives of Orange Park, Fla., Mrs. Inez Stanley of Kansas City, Mo., Miss Josephine Wells of Jesup and Mrs. Geraldine Cheshire of N. Ft. Myers, Fla; Three sons, Joseph Wells of Conley, John David Wells of Rex and James Andrew of Oceanway, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Doris Lake of Nahunta; a brother, Sammy Wainwright of Live Oak, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 30, at the Gordon-Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Emerson Proctor officiating. Burial was in the Hickox Cemetery in Nahunta under the direction of Gordon-Harrison Funeral Home. Active pallbears were grandsons, Dale Anderson, Paul Anderson, Patrick Palecek, Edward Paleck, Robert Paleck and Bryan Rives.
